First alpine women's ski club
The Ladies' Ski Club is the oldest women's alpine ski club in the world. It was founded on 23 January 1923 in the Hotel Palace in Mürren by the leading women ski racers of the time - led by Mabel Lunn, encouraged by her husband Arnold Lunn, the pioneer of alpine skiing.
In 1922, a year before the Ladies' Ski Club was founded, the first slalom in history was staked out in Mürren by Sir Arnold Lunn - paving the way for alpine ski racing.

Diese Woche feierten Engländerinnen das 100-Jahr-Jubiläum ihres Damenskiclubs. Auf dem Programm stand auch ein Nostalgierennen.
